It is a great honor and pleasure for us to host the 6th International Symposium on von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) disease in Kochi, Japan on May 20, Thursday to 22, Saturday, 2004. This symposium will be held in Kochi City Culture Plaza (CUL-PORT), Japan. After fifth symposium in Padua, there is a lot of progress in genetics and functional study in VHL disease as well as other familial kidney tumor syndromes, such as Birt-Hogg Dube Syndrome. We would like to focus VHL together with other familial kidney tumor syndromes in this symposium. Since this is the first meeting that will be held in Asia, we are welcome for scientists, doctors, co-medical staffs, and VHL patients in Asia as well as in the world.
