The two questions about association with INCA (the National Cancer Institute of Brazil) should be answered "no".
After you fill out the registration, click on the option to create a fax page, and fax your credit card information to the number provided. The Banco do Brasil option only works for Brazilian nationals.
Credit card payments may only be made by fax. There is no internet interface for payments.
You must submit payment within 7 days of your registration or your registration will be automatically cancelled by the system. Submit payment to reinstate your registration.
ABOUT ABSTRACTS
Some of the abstracts will be accepted for poster presentation only. Please state your preference to speak or bring a poster.
Abstracts should be submitted following the guidelines below. All communication will be sent by e-mail, as indicated at the submission form. The confirmation of the abstract receipt does not mean that the paper has been selected for presentation.
Please submit your abstract via the online submission form, available at http://www.abvhl.com/vhl2010. Fill out the form with information of the main author, paying attention when entering the e-mail address since it will be the e-mail used for all communication between the Secretariat and authors.
Fill out only one form for each abstract.
After submitting the abstract, at least one of the authors is required to register and pay for the Congress within the following seven days.
The number of authors can vary from one to six. It is not permitted to have more than 6 authors per abstract, nor to have an abstract without any authors. One author should be selected as the Presenting Author.
Abstracts not presented will not receive a certificate.
Guidelines for abstracts submission:
Please use TIMES NEW ROMAN (font size: 12).
The title of the abstract must be in bold, lower and upper case, up to 100 characters; followed by the name of the author(s) in the next line.
Presenting author's name must be the first name, followed by the other authors' names.
State the name of the institution and city/country where the research was performed.
Abstract should be objective, including in one paragraph of 250 words (maximum): introduction, objectives, methods, results and conclusion.
The contents of the abstract are entirely the responsibility of the authors. The authors must certify that there are no grammar or typing errors. Because of language differences, there is no guarantee that errors will be noticed in preparation of the program.
Communication about abstracts selection and publication at the Congress' website will be done by September 1st, 2010, or as soon as possible following late submission.
The abstracts will be forwarded to the Scientific Committee for evaluation and selection.
The author(s) assume their commitment to the Scientific Committee to be present at the date and time assigned to the presentation, and remove the poster when advised.
The scientific program of 9th International Medical Symposium on VHL requests that all speakers bring also a poster which will be displayed throughout the meeting, and will also be posted on the website following the meeting. Before the close of the Symposium, please submit a pdf handout of your poster to the organizers for inclusion in the report of the meeting on the internet. Send handouts to conf2010@vhl.org
All selected abstracts received by August 24 will be published in the official scientific publication of the Brazilian National Cancer Institute, REVISTA BRASILEIRA DE CANCEROLOGIA. A brochure reprinted from this publication will be available for all participants during the event. The deadline should be respected in order to meet the Journal’s publication schedule.
