for VHL
** These centers have achieved nearly a 100% hit rate! That means
that of the samples submitted to them from people with clinical diagnoses
of VHL, they have found the genetic alternation in very nearly every one.
There are still a few that are very hard to find, but the technology is
improving all the time. Once the mutation has been identified in a family,
diagnosing the second person is much easier and can be done reliably at
any of the centers listed.
