Dr. Edward H. Oldfield of the National Institute for Neurological Disorders and Stroke, one of the National Institutes of Health, will chair a Focus Conference for medical professionals on the use of Stereotactic Radiosurgery to treat hemangioblastomas of the brain. The Focus Conference will be held Friday, May 2, 1997, 12-5 pm, at the Holiday Inn, preceding the VHL Patient/Provider Conference. Dr. Oldfield will report on the Focus Conference at the VHL Conference on Sunday.
The Focus Conference is an open forum where medical professionals will have an opportunity to meet the foremost experts in stereotactic radiosurgery from throughout the world. Participants will share the results of their application of this treatment modality to hemangioblastomas and other brain tumors, and perhaps engender some cooperative analysis of case studies.
The registration fee includes lunch. Patients and family members will hear a summary of the findings of this Focus Conference presented by Dr. Oldfield on Sunday at the VHL Conference. Attendees are invited to the reception Friday evening.
