There is a great deal of construction in Berlin even after ten years of unification. The Eastern part of Berlin in particular needs renovation, and part of the central government is moving to Berlin from Bonn.

The Brandenburg Gate, one of the old gates of the city, was part of The Wall and impassable for 25 years. Berliners are thrilled to be able to go through this gate and access all of their city. The central passageway was once reserved for royalty; now everyone may pass through all arches of this gate.
Even dolls (puppen) and teddybears can find medical care in Berlin.
