VHLFA Annual Meeting

New York / LaGuardia

Registration $25 per family member, $50 per professional in advance includes lunch ($5 surcharge for onsite registration)

 

The Annual Membership meeting of the VHL Family Alliance will be held Saturday, June 19, 2004, 9 am - 5 pm, in conjunction with a Northeast Regional Meeting.

 

It will be held at Crowne Plaza/LaGuardia Airport, 104-04 Ditmars Blvd., East Elmhurst, NY 11369. Hotel space is available at that hotel for only $99/night. Be sure to say you are coming for the VHL meeting 718-457-6300

 

Presenters will include:
  • Dr. Gladys Glenn from the U.S. National Institutes of Health, speaking on VHL Screening and Treatment
  • Dr. Jay Klancnik, from Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat will discuss eye issues in VHL.
  • Dr. Wendy Chung, Clinical Care Center coordinator at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, will present information on DNA testing.
  • Dr. Myra Glajchen will speak about care-giving.

All will be available to answer your questions.

 

The Program will include VHL Connections - an opportunity for us just plain folks to share experiences and stories.

 

Conference Registration is $25 per family member, or $50 per healthcare professional, in advance. $5 surcharge for registration at the door. CEU's will be available for genetic counselors (see below).

 

Optional tickets for the Broadway performance of Beauty and the Beast are available at the group rate of $35/seat for Saturday night. Write to info@vhl.org for ticket availability.

 

This event is co-sponsored by the American Counseling Assocation (ACA). ACA is approved by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) to offer up to 4.0 contact clock hours of continuing education credit. ACA adheres to NBCC continuing education guidelines. NBCC approved contact hours will be provided by ACA. ACA offers 10 contact clock hours for every (1) continuing education unit, as approved by the American Board of Genetic Counseling.
