Carrying the Torch: Larry Bennett - Winter Olympics, 2002

Carers are the people who voluntarily take care of a family member or friend who needs a little extra assistance in their daily lives. There are 12 key initiatives taking place during Carers week this year, June 10-16, 2002, to honor these people. Free holidays will be awarded to 1,000 carers, and Carers Week leaflets will be given out, enabling carers to send personal messages to Local Authorities explaining why services are so crucial to their quality of life.
