The Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine provides integrated, comprehensive care for Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) patients. Siteman, the only NCI-designated. [1] Comprehensive Cancer Center within a 240-mile radius of St. Louis, offers committed physicians with expertise in all disciplines involved for caring for VHL patients.

The core VHL team at Siteman includes 17 physicians representing Endocrinology, Hepatobiliary Surgery, Medical Genetics, Nephrology, Neurology, Neuro-otolology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, and Urologic Surgery. The Siteman VHL Center is led by Drs. Robert L. Grubb III (Urologic Surgery) and Paul Santiago (Neurosurgery). Our medical team is supported by a full-service patient care coordination center made up of nurses, social workers, and a supporting team. The St. Louis service area includes more than 2.7 million people, and Siteman serves more than 40,000 cancer patients annually.
