Amy Lynn Budd used a number of somewhat unusual methods for regaining her balance following neurosurgery. She discovered that her self-image also needed to be rebuilt.
She now teaches women who have had cancer, or who have been abused, and help them feel powerful and beautiful again.
Budd has written a play about her brain surgery: "The Thing That Ate My Brain ... Almost" which premiered in Providence Spring 2009. She is touring and performing for medical meetings and events.
