Dr. Othon Iliopoulos of the Massachusetts General Hospital presents his work looking for biomarkers -- chemicals to look for in blood or urine -- that will give us a simple test for kidney cancer. Such a test would not only provide for early detection of kidney cancer, but would allow us to measure the effectiveness of drug therapies in lessening the burden of disease.
