Debra Collins, M.S., genetic counselor at the University of Kansas, explains the genetics of VHL, how it is inherited, and the concepts of new mutation and mosaicism. She also explains how to go about obtaining DNA testing for VHL.

Debra Collins was the inspiration behind the founding of the VHL Family Alliance in 1993, and has served on our Medical Advisory Board throughout that time.
