Dr. Gnarra has been involved in VHL-related research for 19 years. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh, his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia, and postdoctoral training at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. Working under Dr. W. Marston Linehan, Dr. Gnarra was a member of the international team that identified the VHL gene in 1993. Dr. Gnarra was on the faculty at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and is currently Associate Professor of Urology and Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh. |
