Topic Album:

Genetics of VHL, DNA testing, and what it implies

The following presentations discuss issues of the inheritance of VHL, and how to test family members to determine whether they are at risk or not. People who do not carry the VHL mutation will not have the condition called VHL and cannot pass it to their children, and may be excused from screening. People who do carry the VHL mutation should be screened regularly following the recommendations in the VHL Handbook, to ensure that any issues that may arise are found early enough to be treated successfully.
